2004 Challenge outcome

The City of Fremantle, Western Australia has become the twelfth team to be crowned as Australasian Champions. Congratulations to David Stewart, Julie Caddy, Ian Goodbody (team Mentor), Kylie Telfer, Andrew Thomas, Denise Ford and Helen Whitbread. Second place went to Dunedin City Council with Yarra Ranges Shire Council judged third place getters. Other state Challenge winners contesting the Australasian final, in alphabetical order were; Adelaide City Council, Burnie City Council, Fairfield City Council and Thuringowa City Council. The Australasian final was conducted on Sunday 23rd of May in Melbourne and for the first time a team from the United Kingdom, East Sussex County Council, participated in the event. Although this team was not a contender for the final, they were assessed alongside the other seven teams. The inclusion of the UK team paves the way for the Management Challenge to become a truly international event.
